The Town of Whitman, Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority, is seeking bids from qualified licensed electrical contractors for the purpose of establishing a contractual agreement to provide electrical work for the town on an as needed and emergency basis for town owned municipal buildings. A contract for a one-year period, January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018 will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder and will include an option to renew for one additional year.

Sealed bids entitled “Bids for Electrical Services” must be submitted to the Office of the Selectmen, c/o Lisa Green, Assistant Town Administrator, 54 South Avenue, Whitman, MA 02382, by 1:00pm on Tuesday December 19, 2017, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read.
The Town of Whitman reserves the right to reject any and all bids, wholly or in part, or to accept any bid even if the bid is not the lowest cost, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the municipality, to waive informalities deemed inconsequential and to make awards in a manner deemed to be in the Town’s best interest. Bid packages that do not conform to bid submission requirements will be rejected as non-responsive.

Bid Submission Requirements:
1. All bids are to be delivered no later than 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 to the address specified above. Any
bids received after 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 will not be considered.
2. All bids shall be properly signed, enclosed in an envelope, sealed and plainly marked on the outside of the envelope, “Bid for Electrical Services”. The bid must be signed by an individual authorized to bind the bidder to the proposed contractual agreement.

3. Bid price proposals shall include the following:
? Bid Form;
? Bid Certificate;
? Non-Collusion Form;
? Qualification Data for Electrical Services; and
? References

Questions must be submitted in writing or by email to Lisa Green, Assistant Town Administrator, Office of the
Selectmen, 54 South Avenue, Whitman, MA 02382, , 781-618-9788, no later than 3:00pm  on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.
A bidder may correct, modify, or withdraw a bid by written notice received by the Town prior to the due date and time. Each modification package must be sealed and marked with the proposer’s name and address, and “Bid for Electrical Services, Modification #___”.
