Town Clerk Dawn Varley announces that the
final day and hour to register to vote or to change political party for the September
4, 2018 State Primary Election is on Wednesday
August 15, 2018 from 8 a.m. Until 8 p.m.
Voters enrolled in a political party will only be able to vote their party’s ballot. Unenrolled (Independent) voters can choose a Democratic, Republican, or
Libertarian Party ballot and will remain unenrolled after voting.
A person must be 18 years of age or
older on September 4th, and a citizen of the United States by birth or naturalization. Persons who have previously registered and
have continuously resided in Whitman do not have to register again.
Registration is also held daily in the Town
Clerk’s office from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. On Mon., Weds., Thurs., and every Tuesday from 8 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Closed on Fridays. Mail-in registration forms
are also available throughout the Town and the State. Mail-in forms will also be sent to anyone requesting one. You may also register to vote online at www.registertovotema.com.
