Summer Reading Program for Adults

Summer Reading is not just for kids.  The Whitman Public Library is encouraging adults to Build a Better World Read!

We have several ways to win.  We have four ways to win for adults.  One is read a book and ask a staff person for a raffle ticket.  Two is attend a library program make sure to ask for a raffle ticket at the end of the program (yes parents it counts if you bring your children to a library program). Three is ask a staff person for an Adult Summer Reading Bingo Board. Get any five spaces get a raffle ticket fill the whole board get two raffle tickets.  Finally for every book review you fill out you will get a raffle ticket. 

We will have weekly drawings of a bag of books every Friday starting July 7 until August 11. 

Summer Reading Program for Children

Stop by the library to sign up your child age 0 to students entering sixth grade. Each child will receive a game board filled with library and reading. For every four activities completed your child can either pick a treasure chest prize, get a book,  or receive a raffle ticket to enter a bigger prize.  Stop by the library to see the prizes. August 22nd is the last day to collect prizes.

For Children entering grades 1-3 this year we have a Read and Ride Bicycle Raffle.  When a child reads 15 books, they will be entered into a drawing to win a bicycle.  Sign up at the library.

Summer Reading Program for Tweens and Teens

Teens stop by the library to sign up for our summer reading program. Tell a staff person when you have read a book and receive a raffle ticket.  Come to a program and get another raffle ticket. Use your raffle ticket to enter a prize.  Prizes range from candy, tickets to Treetop Adventures, and even an Amazon Gift Card!  Lots of prizes to choose from stop by the library to see all the prizes.  August 22nd is the last day to collect prizes.
